Aziz Helou
Aziz knew he wanted to be a lawyer from an early age — not for the title, but for the responsibility of standing beside people when the stakes are high.
His practice focuses on criminal law, where he's acted in complex matters across Melbourne and regional Victoria, appearing before a wide range of courts and tribunals. Before founding Spero, Aziz worked as a senior lawyer across multiple agencies and organisations, taking on the kind of high-stakes work that shapes how you show up for clients.
He holds degrees in Biomedicine, Microbiology, and Law — a background that gives him an analytical edge in matters involving technical or evidentiary complexity. Aziz has also been involved in significant Federal Court litigation that has produced outcomes extending well beyond the individual case.

Abdul Hassan
Abdul works across all aspects of family law, supporting clients through some of the most personal and emotionally weighted moments of their lives.
He's acted for clients at every stage of the family law process — from negotiated resolutions to court proceedings — and approaches each matter with patience, care, and a strong focus on outcomes that are practical, fair, and sustainable for the people involved.
Abdul holds degrees in Accounting, Finance, and Law, and has worked across both private practice and the public sector. That combination gives him a grounded, balanced approach to family law — the legal framework matters, but so do the numbers underneath it, and so do the human realities that sit behind every case.
